Our Story

Allie Atkins had a successful career in magazine publishing which led to establishing a magazine in the Atlanta area called Senior Living Choices over 10 years ago. Through her work with the various senior communities, she saw the difficulty seniors and their loved ones experienced when having to make difficult decisions to move into a Senior Living situation. Adding to their stress was choosing which pieces of furniture to move, whether it would hold up in a move, or would even fit the new space. For some, especially those moving from another state, the answer was simply to bring personal items and purchase new furniture locally. Unfortunately, shopping around to find the right pieces and coordinate fast delivery service could take an inordinate amount of time and considerable expense. This story was all too common.

Allie and her daughter Emaly, share the same love for creating beautiful spaces for seniors while utilizing their interior design and decorating skills. They wanted to do something to help alleviate some of the stress and make the process easier for everyone involved in such a major life-event. That is how SeniorDecor began!
